Third Sunday in Lent
Scripture: Matthew 4:1-11
This Sunday @ 10am we continue spending time in Matthew 4:1-11—the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. Our service will be led by John Maikowski our Director of Operational Ministires as we continue our journey through the Lenten season. If you can’t make it in person, you can watch on YouTube, Facebook, or Zoom.
Don’t forget we spring forward to Daylight Saving Time this Sunday!
Sunday’s music celebrates the Lenten season and our spiritual practice of protest using music by women composers and arrangers. There is organ music, piano music, hymns, and even a choir anthem arrangement of a 14th century hymn by a 21st century arranger. We end our service with our protest song, Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land”. Although this song has been around since 1940, you may hear this song sung at current rallies and also sung by our Music Ed students this month.
