Kalea Carter (she/her) is thrilled to be joining Park Hill UCC as the new Project Coordinator. She is a recent graduate of the University of Denver, where she earned her degree in Journalism with minors in Black Studies and English. Kalea’s work centers on multimedia storytelling, community-based media, with a focus on justice, spiritual, and cultural memory. Kalea has explored everything from archival narratives of grassroots organizing to Denver’s evolving food
scene through editorial work at Denver Life Magazine and content creation for DU’s Media, Film & Journalism department.

Kalea was raised in Denver and is deeply drawn to spaces that uplift creativity and collective care. Outside of writing or organizing projects, she enjoys reading, being in a gym, or finding new coffee spots around the city.
